Scholarship Essay Contest
The Christian Andreacchio Memorial Scholarship will be awarded to a Mississippi Senior who plans to pursue their education at a college or university (With the exception of Lauderdale County Students who wish to attend Meridian Community College since this community college offers free tuition to any Lauderdale County students). This scholarship is not need based or based on ACT scores. It will be based on a written essay and meeting the minimum criteria. The subject of the essay should be how the Senior interprets the theme “Live Life Large” which is the motto Christian’s family felt best described him and the way he lived life. The essay should include how they plan to live their own life large.
Minimum Criteria:
- Graduate from any high school within Mississippi (including private schools).
- Maintained a minimum of a B average for the 2023-2024 academic year.
- Plan to attend a 2 or 4 year college/university in the 2024-2025 academic year.
Deadline for submission of essay: May 15, 2024
Notification of award of scholarship: May 30, 2024
Length of essay: 500-750 words
File format of essay: PDF, Word, Wordperfect or Text
Scholarship award amount: $5,000
Note: Funds will be paid directly to the college/university the scholarship recipient attends. Funds will be dispersed after proof of registration has been provided.
