School Day, School Days….

Christian never loved school but he LOVED entertaining at school and then coming home and telling me about how he made this teacher laugh, or played a joke on this kid or got up on the lunch table and danced for everyone.  There was an endless supply of stories…. half of which were probably greatly exaggerated!! Christian could tell a good tale though. Always making himself the class clown or the life of the party.

Some stories Christian didn’t say much about were the kids he “hung out with because no one likes them so I let him eat with us.” or “There is this kid who people make fun of because he’s in a wheelchair and I always talk to him everyday at school because, you know… it makes him feel better.” Christian always stuck up for the underdog. He always was willing to give the shirt off his back for those he felt needed it and weren’t taking advantage of him. Memories of those conversations are why I know Christian would be so proud to have helped the kids that have been assisted by Magnolia Son. Because that is really what so much of this is about…. making Christian proud.

  1. i taught Christian when he was in high school at NEHS! You are right… He never loved school! But he NEVER gave me any trouble. He most definitely was the life of the party … Aka … The classroom!!! What I remember most about Christian was his smile. Oh yeah and there was that way that he always seem to get me off the subject. I think he and the rest of the class had it planned each day. His stories always seem to do the trick! Haha

    • Christian went to school to have fun and keep up with gossip. LOL He was like a girl when it came to wanting to be “in the know” about all the drama going on at school. I hope you remember him with a smile. 🙂

      • Yes ma’am I do! I loved having him in my class! I still remember where he sat. Reading this blog the other day brought back vivid memories of him. Today when I was meeting my new students, I could see him sitting in his seat and giving me that smile he always gave me.
