When Your Reach Exceeds Your Grasp

Someone many years ago started the tradition of “Year in Review” which now puts pressure on all of us to write a philosophical accounting of the past year….. unfortunately inspiration has not hit and it’s the last hours of 2016. So here is our attempt at summing up our year.

In many ways 2016 smiled on Magnolia Son. We opened a retail location, expanded awareness of our mission, made new contacts and friends and met all of our 2016 goals! 🙂 With the help of donations, ongoing support from a growing circle of family and friends and hard work from many people behind the scenes, we were able to provide shoes to 121 kids, send 26 high school athletes to football camp and secure funds to award a $5000 college scholarship. To large non-profit organizations it may not seem like much…. to us it is HUGE!! It is hard to believe that it has been over 2 years since we started this journey that was chosen for us.

We are hopeful for many things in 2017. New goals to be met, new friends to be made and as always…. more memories and smiles of past “Christian moments”. We wish everyone in the Magnolia Son family of supporters an AWESOME 2017!!!

“May Light always surround you;
Hope kindle and rebound you.
May your Hurts turn to Healing;
Your Heart embrace Feeling.
May Wounds become Wisdom;
Every Kindness a Prism.
May Laughter infect you;
Your Passion resurrect you.
May Goodness inspire
your Deepest Desires.
Through all that you Reach For,
May your arms Never Tire.”

I have a 1/2 day coming up in a Wednesday or Thursday do I will come by. Bet I find more than a candle!! I got avery that plaque that had the abstractvoerdon and dog on it that said best friends for Christmas. She loved it!!! Hope 2017 brings new adventures, more smiles and goals reached!!!
